A Natural Method to Anti-Aging
Platelet rich plasma (PRP) therapy is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure developed on the proven premise that the body often is its own best healer. The procedure involves a technician drawing about 10mL of blood from a patient, centrifuging it to concentrate the blood plasma (the pale-yellow liquid component of blood that normally holds the blood cells in suspension) into a gel-like substance, then re-injecting it into the patient via a tool that features a series of tiny needles. What to Expect during your PRP Facial
It starts off with a Micro-needling treatment. We use the ONLY FDA device, SkinPen, that contains several acupuncture-sized needles that get injected into your skin. The purpose of this is to create channels in her skin to absorb your own PRP, which will be applied later in the treatment. Micro-needling is also known as collagen induction therapy, which boosts the PRP Blood Facial benefits.
The micro pen has little automated needles that gently move up and down while the device is moved slowly in patterns the face. Typically, you will feel a little bit of a vibration as the skin as it is punctured superficially; on the cheek area the micro-needling device can be set to go a little bit deeper, but it’s nothing too aggressive.
Prior to treatment a numbing cream will be applied. Nitrous oxide may be used for a minimal charge.
