For the past 25 years the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center in Newburyport has been offering a growing list of services to not only support victims of domestic violence, but also to educate members of the community so that we can all come together to end domestic violence. Their services are designed to help victims through the process, from helplessness to hopefulness. 
The Center’s goal is to empower people to live free from fear, intimidation, violence or the threat of abuse by providing support, advocacy and education.

In 2008, the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center served 978 victims of domestic violence. While it costs $22,000 per week to keep their doors open, state and federal funding provides less than 45% of the finances needed to provide services.
